Make sure you adopt the correct position with your baby, so that you can relax and feel at ease.
There are several positions you can use
• The classic seated position, even after a Caesarean.
You can lie your baby in different ways:
• In the cradle position: your baby rests on your forearm, close to your stomach. Their head is held in the hollow of your elbow and their bottom rest in your hand.
• Sideways position: your baby rests on your forearm, close to your hip. Their head is held up by your hand.
• Lying down on your side, resting on your forearm or on a pillow, with your legs tucked up behind you. The important thing is to feel comfortable and to avoid any tenseness or pain.
Position the baby so that their stomach is pressed against your body, their face to your breast, and their ear and shoulder aligned in the same direction, with the head resting slightly back so that the nose can easily pull away.
This position should allow you to rest if you are feeling tired.
