Massage, a source of well-being

Setting the scene

A few tips for creating a favourable environment

• Choose a quiet, warm room (around 26°C), with low lights.

• Choose a quiet time of the day so that you can peacefully devote yourself to the massage and make the most of this special moment with your baby. The massage should last on average 30 minutes. However, during the first few massages, your baby may be reluctant. If this happens, limit the session to a few minutes.

• Your hands should be clean and warm, and your nails short.

• Take off anything that could catch on the baby’s skin, such as jewellery.

• Use special massage oil for babies.

• Your baby’s skin should be healthy and not irritated.

Do not massage your baby

• If they are ill.

• Immediately after a feed or meal.
