
When contractions become:
Regular AND painful AND increasingly close together (every 10-15 minutes) for at least 2 hours.
When your contractions are extremely regular and painful, stop eating and drinking (in case you need a general anaesthetic).
Or also :
• If your waters break, with or without contractions*,
• In the case of fever*,
• If you have gone over full term (calculated due date),
• If you have not felt your baby moving for a few hours*,
• In the event of gynaecological bleeding*.
* Also stop eating and drinking should these cases arise.
