When should you consult a doctor or pediatrician?
As a preventive measure
• Brush your baby’s hair every day with a soft brush to prevent the appearance of cradle cap.
• Do not hesitate to gently massage your baby’s scalp when you are washing their hair (do not rub too hard, simply lather the shampoo and then rinse).
• Preferably use a gentle shampoo to prevent cradle cap.
• Be careful not to wash your baby’s hair too often because this can cause irritation. If your baby does not present a skin problem on the scalp, it is recommended to shampoo the hair only every 2 or 3 days and to rinse their head with water every day.
As a skin care
• Do not attempt to remove cradle cap with your nails.
• Apply a specific skin care product such as Stelaker, which acts both on the symptoms and the causes of the appearance of cradle cap.
• Carefully wash your baby’s scalp with a suitable shampoo.
• Apply Stelaker to cradle cap and leave it to work overnight to soften the flakes.
• The next day, gently brush your baby’s hair with a soft brush and then cleanse with your shampoo or usual cleansing product.
• Repeat this skin care for 15 days.
