Development of your baby's sight

Rapid progress in the first year after birth

Around the age of 6 weeks, babies can clearly see close objects and begin to study their mother’s face in fascination.

From 3-4 months, their visual universe is extremely colourful and more expansive. Their vision has clearly improved in terms of details and depth. They follow whatever moves around them with a fluid movement of their eyes and try to catch it.

Around the age of 6 months, their near vision is just as good as their distant vision.

After the age of 1 year, progress is not so noticeable. The visual system takes a long time to mature and is complete after several years.
