BRAND PRODUCTS ADVICE QUESTIONS EVENT

Is babies’ skin more fragile than that of adults?

Yes, even normal baby’s skin is much more fragile than that of adults.

In adults, the skin is protected from attack by a mature hydrolipid film.
In babies and children under 3 years old, this natural protection is finer: the skin thus reacts more strongly to external variations.
In addition, the cells that make up the surface of baby’s skin are less firmly connected than in adults: this makes their skin more vulnerable to harsh external factors.

It is therefore extremely important to protect your baby’s skin under all circumstances with tailored, non-irritant and hypoallergenic skin care products.

If you would like to find out more about the specific characteristics of your baby’s skin, please consult our advice section.
