Why aren’t Mustela products organic?
To obtain an organic label in the cosmetics field would entail giving up a lot of ingredients, notably among the preservatives and these limitations are incompatible with the high level of microbiological safety that we guarantee to our users.
In addition, in organic cosmetic products, the synthetic fragrances are generally replaced by essential oils which should be avoided by future mothers and young children because they can be allergy-provoking or irritant. There again, as a precaution, we prefer using scents with known compositions that are formulated to minimise the risk of an allergic reaction and which have proved their harmlessness .
