Are Mustela products tested before being launched on the market?
The safety of our products is an absolute priority.
In order to guarantee their perfect harmlessness , all our formulae have undergone a long series of tests before being adopted: skin tolerance tests, hypoallergenicity tests, tests to ensure the products do not irritate the eyes, phototoxicity tests , etc.
Specific assessments are carried out by a specialised toxicologist on products intended for pregnant women (Mustela 9 Months range) to prove they do not present a risk for the foetus.
The efficacy of our skin care is verified by clinical trials and usage tests under dermatological and/or paediatric control.
We also carry out regular surveys with our users to ensure us of their satisfaction and develop products according to their expectations.
Once their composition has been validated, our products are tested again during the manufacturing process to check, in particular, that they have not been contaminated by bacteria and that they are stable.
Last but not least, all our products carry a tamperproof clip or ring to guarantee their freshness right up to when you open them.
